Copyright Infringement Notice & Takedown Policy

How we handle copyright infringement claims on ITDb.

ITDB (International Theatre Database) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Korean Copyright Act and the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), ITDB will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using our platform.

Who May File a Report

Copyright infringement reports may only be submitted by the copyright owner of the work in question, or by an agent expressly authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf. Third-party reports will not be accepted unless the reporter can demonstrate that they have been formally delegated reporting authority by the rights holder.

How to Submit a Report

Subject line format: [Copyright Notice] Content Type – Artist or Page Name

Required Information

Your notice must include all of the following in order to be considered valid:

  • Your full legal name and contact information
  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, including the original source URL or other documentation sufficient to identify the work
  • The exact URL or location of the allegedly infringing content on ITDB
  • A clear description of how and why you believe the content infringes your copyright
  • Documentation sufficient to establish that you are the rights holder or their authorized representative
  • The following statement, confirmed as true and accurate:
“I have a good-faith belief that the use of the material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. The information in this notice is accurate, and I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.”

How We Handle Reports

Upon receipt of a valid copyright infringement notice, ITDB will take the following steps:

  1. Acknowledge receipt of the notice via email
  2. Remove or restrict access to the reported content pending review
  3. Complete our internal review and notify the reporting party of the outcome

ITDB reserves the right to permanently disable the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers.

Limitation of Liability

Users who upload content to ITDB are solely responsible for ensuring that they hold the necessary rights or permissions to do so. By uploading any content, users represent and warrant that such content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. ITDB seeks to maintain its protections under Article 102 of the Korean Copyright Act and Section 512 of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
